The IASGP is jointly hosting a conference with the Academy for Civic Education, Tutzing, on “Germany’s New Foreign Policy”, from 23rd to 25th May.

In common with other events at Tutzing, this will not be a conventional academic conference – instead it will feature sessions with speakers from a variety of perspectives, and be open to students, academics, teachers, practitioners and interested members of the public (for all of whom costs are kept affordable).  The academy itself is south of Munich, on the banks of Starnberg lake, and readily accessible by public transport.  Accommodation and food are provided on site.

It is expected that conference languages will be German and English.

A programme is currently being put together – if you are an IASGP member and might be interested in sharing a presentation based on your research and expertise, please send a note with your interest to Ed Turner (e.turner@aston.ac.uk) by 10 am on Friday 1st April.

Because Tutzing is hosting this event and the programme needs to cohere, with speakers from a variety of perspectives and backgrounds, it will not be possible to accept all proposals, but ideas will be very welcome.

The event will be advertised with a programme in due course, but if you are interested please save the dates of Monday 23rd to Wednesday 25th May.

Some financial support may be provided for IASGP members who are doctoral students and early career researchers.
