A new beginning
The International Association for the Study of German Politics is the new organisation that has been created by a merger of the Association for the Study of German Politics and the US German Politics Association in order to form a new association that will be unique in bringing together scholars from Europe and North America into a common collaborative academic network. 34th Annual Conference, 27-28 May, London, UK
This year's conference brought together researchers from around Europe and the US to debate developments in the study of German politics. A selection of conference papers are now available online. Highlights include:

A new International Association for the Study of German Politics
The newly launched IASGP brings together leading international scholars of German politics, society, law and political economy. This unique academic study group, built from a union of US and British groups, hosts workshops and conferences at regular intervals, runs a major stream of panels at GSA, and publishes the premier journal in the field, German Politics.
